Unshackled The Drake Cutlass. More pictures here.
I love my Drake.
The variants are pretty cool and as a jack of all trade ships I recommend it to anyone that hasn’t pledged yet.

Finally unlocked my STB-1!
Been quite a grind but I have finally finished the Japanese Tech Tree.
The gun is the top gun from the Type-61. So it punches through most heavies and is pretty accurate. I tend to load more APCR than HEAT. Going to try it again and see how it goes.
The tank is fast and has a nice low profile. Decent sloped armour but still need to play like a sniper. I have been told it is a lower profile version of the leopard.
Decent view range and radio range they make good scouts in Clan Wars. Not a brawler and not a common site yet but I would take them over a Leopard or FV.
The tree picks up after tier V. I give this tank a 8/10
Khans of Tarkir Game Day
So yesterday was the Khans of Tarkir Game Day and we had a lot of fun, if not the wins to get anywhere with Sarah and I both going 2/3.
We still had a really good laugh. I laughed so much I burst blood vessels in my face!
Sarah had me laughing a lot with her not having a pad and writing down important things from people’s decks she discovered with Stain The Mind on her arm in a language only she could understand.
Jeakai Ascendancy was used to a rather interesting effect with the crazed looting and Retraction Helix combos by a few people. I managed to win one round against someone who was using it to pump and throw it at me with Burning Anger, although I lost one game devastatingly to it when it flung 30 damage my way, but the milling combo devastated me in a later game.
Still, I had great fun and enjoyed my Mardu madness, despite only winning my first and last rounds.
Thinking of getting some more cards and fiddling a bit more because when it works, it’s a deadly warrior machine…or it ploughs in and ends up sputtering, while a bleeding opponent has the time to slowly get up, dust themselves off and then finish me off.
Goof fun, but I need more wins!

Today has been a bit of a disappointment.
After well over a year of waiting my tablescape tiles finally arrived. Having the day off sick i stopped by the post office to pick them up thinking it’d be a nice cheer me up.
Got home with a giant package and unwrapped it to find the tablescape box inside. I was very excited finally my rolling fields board for warmahordes, bolt action and infinity. I have some many plans for this bad boy.
Took a moment to appreciate the box which held up design for something like 5 months. Its meant to be a transport for it even after you get the tiles painted up. Looked pretty solid and schmick so i guess it could be worth the wait (I continually forgot it existed until the rare communications from the KS team).
Opened it up and was shocked at the tiles. So much thinner and lighter than I had thought. Took a look through a could more and started getting really annoyed. They don’t feel like a high quality product. They feel cheap and flimsy, completely against what i had expected after the kickstarter updates. I wasn’t keen to try but it feels like any pressure like saying leaning over the board could cause them to break. I haven’t ever used products from wargames factory who produce the tiles. But I have heard those flimsy style plastic is common for their items.
The detail is good it would be better with a coat of paint and miracle dip.
i am very annoyed that the tile clips are stop the board sliding apart were not included. In fact there is nothing to keep the board stable.
Clips are supplied and my overall mark adjusted.
Taking out the Kickstarter I’d say this product is a 8/10
If you backed it then it feels more like 7/10. The details and options are should account for most types of games.
Edit: The carry box is useless and already falling apart while transporting from kitchen to the games room upstairs. the part with the handle bends up worryingly and the tiles are punching holes in the box.
